Why a holiday with a water park?

Holidays are fun, a great way to unwind and the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with the family, so you'll want to make sure the family are having fun in the sun, right? Waterpark holidays in 2024/2025 are a great option, especially when you've got kids to entertain during the summer school holidays in July and August. You might want to just chill out on a sunbed, but will the kids?! Of course not! Book a holiday resort with or near a water park and you'll instantly become parent of the year! Most top travel companies are able to book holidays with waterparks, however one stand out brand is SplashWorld Holidays which is part of TUI/First Choice.

Hotels With Waterparks

There are a lot of hotels in Europe that feature a water park of some sort, from a small slide and kids pool activity area, to full on donut style and speed rides. These are great hotels to book, especially if you have active kids or you just can't face laying by the pool all day. Here are a couple of our best hotels with waterparks:

In Turkey, the Aqua Fantasy Aquapark is a five-star resort near Kusadasi, offering over 25 water slides plus lots of other activities. Hugely popular with families, the hotel is also close to the beach for a more tranquil day out playing in the sand and the surf should you get bored of the park and the pool.

In Majorca, the Globales Bouganvilla Hotel in Sa Coma offers guests exclusive access to its Splash World water park which opened in 2016. A variety of slides await you and the hotel's main pool is separate so you can still relax there if you wanted to. The hotel also offers one and two bedroom apartments, perfect for families looking for self catering waterpark holidays.

Many hotels will also offer smaller splash parks, which can sometimes be like mini waterparks. These can be a brilliant alternative if the hotel or area you that you want to book isn't close to a bigger park, but still offers a smaller number of water slides, especially for toddlers and young children.

Costa Dorada

Just outside of the popular holiday resort of Salou on Spain's Costa Dorada, PortAventura World, is home to the Caribe Water Park and offers holidaymakers a huge amount of fun. With a fun, Caribbean theme, PortAventura Aqua Park features 17 different water rides ranging from El Rio Loco, or the crazy river, to Rapid Race, a six lane water slide allowing you to race to the bottom.

Tenerife

Tenerife's top waterpark rated by Trip Advisor users is the islands' main water park, Siam Park. The park, located in the Costa Adeje area, offers transportation to and from the big resorts, so if you haven't hired a car, it's easy to get to and is a great day out. If you want a holiday with a water park, Tenerife is a great option.

Turkey

There are some incredible excellent resorts with waterparks in Turkey dotted along the Mediterranean coastline. And a number of which are so big they even have their own waterparks. so you don't event have to leave the hotel. Not for a day on the waterslides, nor to head out for dinner? Take a look at areas like Belek in Antalya for some fantastic family resorts in the sunshine.

Dubai

If you're heading further afield, there are two great water parks in Dubai. The Aquaventure Waterpark is part of the impressive Atlantis Hotel on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah. Water park access is complimentary to those staying at the hotel, however visitors can pay to enjoy the waterpark too. The other is Wild Wadi Waterpark, the original one in Dubai and is located amongst the Jumeirah chain of hotels along the coastline. Guests staying at the Jumeirah Beach hotel have free access to Wild Wadi which has over 30 rides and attractions.

Resorts With Waterpark Access

In your search for a family friendly holiday, you may find that a hotel, while not having its own water park, may have access to a nearby one that is included in the price of your holiday, or can be added in during the booking process. Keep an eye out for these sorts of hotel resorts. Places like Villa Mandi in Tenerife, Planos Bay Hotel in Zante and Atlantica Porto Bello Beach Hotel in Kos all can be booked with access to the nearby waterparks.

Aquashow Park Hotel is another resort with waterpark access. It's part of the Aquashow Park complex in the Algarve and guests staying can enjoy free access to the outdoor waterpark, plus 15% off tickets to the indoor waterpark.

All Inclusive Waterpark Holidays

All Inclusive Waterpark Holidays

All inclusive waterpark holidays are a great way to ensure you know what you're spending before you even land, and making the most of it. Not only can all inclusive mean unlimited food (even afternoon ice creams by the pool) and most drinks, it also means a range of entertainment and activities while you're at the hotel. Then you can either add on tickets to the local waterpark, or even better, choose one of the many all inclusive waterpark hotels, where the fun slides and rides are right onsite.

Popular destinations include Turkey, Tenerife and Greece, while further afield an all inclusive holiday to Dubai at certain hotels could include access to Wild Wadi or Aquaventure water parks.

Waterpark Holidays In The UK

For those looking to enjoy a waterpark holiday in the UK, there are a couple of options to choose from including breaks at Alton Towers Waterpark and Center Parcs, or creating your own with a stay at a holiday park with an independent water park. Some of the UK's best holiday parks also have indoor pools with slides and activities. Check out the latest reviews on TripAdvisor to see what other customers experiences have been.
