It's got a great beach and a good selection of hotels including the 3-star Globales Bouganvilla Hotel which is a 25 minute walk from Sa Coma Beach, but one of the great things about this holiday resort is Splash World, the on-site water park. There are several outdoor swimming pools plus splash park activities for all ages. All rooms have free WiFi, air conditioning in the summer, and a kitchenette, even though it's not a self catering hotel. It also has free child places available regularly too, helping you save more money.

We love Florida, and more specifically Orlando and the theme parks, so there was no doubt that we needed to include a Florida hotel on our list. If you're concentrating your time on the Disney parks, and you want that summer holiday feel, we think you might like The Grove Resort & Water Park near Four Corners. Although it sits on its own (you'll definitely need a car), we love this place because its modern, has a fun water park, is only 20 minutes from Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, plus there are both 2 bedroom family rooms and 3 bedroom apartments (sleeping up to 8 people), so bigger groups and large families can stay together.

Located by a golf course and just a short walk to the beach, the Regnum Carya has both a 2 bedroom family room (sleeping up to 5 guests), and a two bedroom swim up family room (sleeping up to 6 guests), which has a shared swimming pool. This is a huge resort with loads going on, from spa treatments to the bowling alley. There are also 12... yes 12 restaurants and 17 bars!
