One of the challenges we often find with large family holidays is that you've got to please everyone. Here, there are five restaurants with an extensive buffet restaurants so you're bound to tick plenty of boxes.

There is so much going on in Tenerife that it is an ideal destination for families. Whether you like to relax by the pool, get your thrills at Siam Park water park or see the dramatic lava fields by Mount Teide volcano, there's something for everyone. And for a budget friendly option in both summer and winter, Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel in Los Cristianos.

There are five outdoor pools here including two adults only ones (great if some of the group want a little time away from the kids). Three of the pools are heated between December and March which, despite the warm weather, can be an absolute saviour.

Arvia Cruise Ship, P&O Cruises

You might not automatically think of a cruise as a holiday for large families, but they are so well set up that they can be perfect. With kids' clubs, loads of entertainment, plenty of dining options and much more, P&O Arvia offers all you need. They even have interconnecting balconies.

But while we love Arvia for the whole family, be sure to look around at other cruise ships which can have interconnecting rooms, waterslides, and even go kart tracks on board.

How Many Guests: Cabins can sleep up to 4 people, and balconies can be opened up to join onto neighbouring balcony cabins

Villa Can Plaseta Pollensa, Majorca - 4 Bedroom Villa

For a family of 7 or 8, a self catering villa holiday gives you all the flexibility and freedom you need, which is why we love the 4 bedroom Villa Can Plaseta Pollensa in Majorca.

This is a spacious villa with one double bedroom and three twin rooms which is perfect for families with 4, 5 or 6 children. It's also a short drive or a 10-15 minute walk from the town of Pollensa which has various restaurants and mini supermarkets.

Playa Bella Apartments, Ibiza - 3 Bedroom Apartments

Ibiza is a fun holiday destination for everyone, and a popular place for families is the Playa Bella Apartments in San Antonio Bay. With two and three bedroom apartments, as well as a splash park for the younger kids, and a children's club during the summer months, it's easy to see why it's rated so well on TripAdvisor.

Both self catering and half board options are available here, and there's a Spar supermarket about 100m down the road as well as a Lidl about a 15 minute drive away on the outskirts of San Antonio Town, so you can pick up all the essentials you need.

Why We Love It: Decent sized apartments, and there's actually a dining table that seats 7 people in the 3 bedroom apartments

Minura Sur Menorca & Waterpark, Menorca - Waterpark + Interconnecting Rooms

Whether you're a young family, or a multi-generation family, having multi-bedroom suites or interconnecting rooms is key for safety and some good old fashioned grandparents babysitting. And that's why we love the Minura Sur Menorca which conveniently also has a fun and exciting waterpark for all ages.

There are interconnecting twin rooms (so great for a family with older kids), as well as Premium Two Bedroom Suites which can sleep up to six people, plus an infant. There's also the option for bed & breakfast, half board or all inclusive, depending on which board basis you prefer. Plus a kids' club in the summer months.

Colina Village, Algarve - Budget Friendly

We're always cost conscious when it comes to family holidays so one of our favourite budget breaks is at the 3-star Colina Village in the Algarve. Located in Gramacho, on the outskirts of Carvoeiro, this is an ideal option for those looking to save.

One, two and three bedroom apartments are available here, with the 3-bed options sleeping up to 9 people including an infant. They also have 3 bathrooms which can be so important when you've got a big group of people. The living area has a kitchen so self catering, bed & breakfast and half board options are all available.

Don't expect heaps of facilities, but if you want a cheap family holiday in the sunshine, then this place could be for you.

How Many Guests: Three bedroom apartments can sleep up to 9 people (including 1 infant)

Why We Love It: This place is one of the more affordable holiday options with three bedroom apartments and shorter flight times (London to Faro is just under 3 hours)

Magic Tropical Splash, Benidorm - Great For Families

Locaated in the very west of Benidorm, at the far end of Platja de Ponent beach is the 4-star Magic Tropical Splash. This family friendly hotel offers two and three bedroom apartments with kitchenettes making it great for accommodating families up to 8 people.

As well as the spacious accommodation, guests can also enjoy the pool areas including a pirate ship splash park for little ones, smaller waterslides for younger kids and an on-site waterpark for grown ups too. Between late March and October, there's also a range of daytime and evening entertainment for everyone, including a kids' club.

The hotel has a main buffet restaurant (Restaurant Caribe), plus two a la carte restaurants, and a number of bars dotted around the resort. But bed & breakfast is only available here, which is great if you love getting out, exploring and trying out the various Spanish and international cuisines available.

How Many Guests: Caribbean Treasure three bedroom apartments can sleep up to 8 people

Why We Love It: Benidorm is a fun and lively option, and if you want on-site waterslides, as well as being relatively close to the beach, this could be for you.

BAYOU Villas Lara Antalya - Luxury Villas

If you've got the budget and are truly looking to splash out, the stunning BAYOU Villas Lara Antalya are perfect. These luxury, 5-star villas offer the perfect family holiday when you're celebrating and want a much more premium holiday.

As part of the Lara Barut Collection resort at the centre of the popular Lara Beach in Antalya, guests staying at the self-catering villas can make use of all the facilities that the hotel has to offer, from its pools and waterpark to its kids' club, sports courts and extensive entertainment programme.

Florida is a fantastic, family friendly destination and nowhere in the world is quite like Orlando. Its collection of exciting theme parks, shopping and accommodation means family holidays here are perfect, which is why you should consider a villa holiday in Orlando for your next large group holiday.
