Why All Inclusive In Mexico
Mexico is a fantastic destination if you want to have everything sorted for you and enjoy the exotic sands of the Mexican Riviera. It's always recommended to book an ABTA or ATOL protected getaway for your financial protection, which is why top brands like Virgin Holidays, BA Holidays and TUI Mexico holidays are great options, offering direct flights from the UK to Cancun. Most packages are either 7 nights, 10 nights or 14 flights, but you should always check what's included in the price of your package as things like transfers or baggage may not automatically be included.
TUI has direct flights from various UK airports, and with a range of different accommodation options, holidays to Mexico from Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow are all very possible. Alternatively, you can connect through airports like London Heathrow, Paris and New York. There aren't any Jet2 flights to Mexico from the UK, so Jet2holidays does not offer all inclusive Mexico holidays.
Best All Inclusive Mexican Resorts
If you've never been to Mexico or are unsure about which resort will suit you and your group the best, here are a couple of options to help you decide, focused mainly on Mexico's Caribbean coast.
Cancun
Cancun is typically the place you'll look at first and many of the hotels will be in the Hotel Zone, which are the long stretch of beaches jutting out from the main coastline. It's here you'll find larger resorts like the Riu Caribe, the Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa and the Live Aqua Beach Resort. It's very well catered to tourists so if you do decide to venture outside of the hotel, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and attractions to keep you entertained.
Playa del Carmen
Further down the coast is the slightly quieter resort of Playa del Carmen, situated along the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula, opposite Cozumel island. Here you'll also find a range of resorts lining the sandy beaches including the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, Hotel BlueBay Grand Esmeralda and the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel, each offering some excellent all inclusive options. Smaller hotels and resorts can also be found here if you prefer somewhere a little less in your face.
Adults Only
If you prefer a tropical escape without any children, there are a couple of adults only, all inclusive resorts in Mexico on both the western and eastern coasts. Take a look at options like the Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene, the TUI BLUE El Dorado Seaside Suites and the Hacienda at Hilton Puerto Vallarta. Most of these hotels are over 18 only but there may be one or two which allow over 16s if you have older teenagers. Watch out for Spring Break too, as this can be one of the popular party spots for American students partying.
Keep an eye out for hotels with a dedicated area for adults, as these may be large family friendly resorts. If it's a true adults only escape, be sure to book a dedicated adults only hotel.
What's Included
When booking your holiday, you should always check the terms and conditions and what is included in the price as the "inclusive" element can vary from travel agent to tour operator. Generally your package will include flights, often with luggage and pre-booked seats, accommodation plus food and drink. Sometimes there may be certain restrictions to this, such as local alcoholic drinks included only, or that all inclusive stops at midnight. Your airport transfers may also be included. Certain sports and activities could also be included so check before you book and when you arrive.
While some sports and activities are included, there are liekly to be many that come at an extra cost such as scuba diving trips around the nearby coral reefs, motorised watersports or day trips and excursions.
