Turkey
With direct flights to both Dalaman and Antalya, budget friendly holidays are perfectly possible from the Essex coast. Enjoy popular destinations like Lara Beach and Oludeniz, with sprawling all inclusive resorts and exceptional golf courses.

Tour Operators & Airlines From Southend
In 2025, easyJet relaunched flights from Southend Airport to 20 destinations across Europe, making it the only airline flying from the airport. Wizzair and Ryanair both pulled out of Southend during Covid.
That means that any tour operator which sells easyJet flights can book a holiday from Southend, including popular brands like On The Beach, TUI, loveholidays and Travel Republic.
We always recommend booking your trip with an ABTA, ATOL or ABTOT protected provider, including easyJet Holidays, but if you do choose to book your flights and accommodation separately, make sure your travel insurance is comprehensive.

Holiday Types From Southend Airport
Last Minute Escapes
With plenty of destinations on offer, if you can be flexible, a last minute holiday doesn't have to break the bank. Be flexible with where you go. If you had the Canaries in mind, try Tunisia or Morocco, for example. The flight schedules aren't as frequent so you might also want to be flexible with the week or month that you travel to get the best deals. Turkey also has lots of large hotels who are keen to fill their rooms.
Family Holidays
Popular family friendly destinations include places like Tenerife with the world renowned Siam Park water park, Lapland for some winter magic, and the Algarve for some of the best child friendly holidays around. easyJet free child places are also possible allowing you to save money when two full fare paying adults are travelling.
Holidays For Solo Travellers
Travelling on your own? Fear not. easyJet is a grerat airline for this, but their destinations are better. Well established cities like Amsterdam and Barcelona are on the list, while beach holidays like Majorca, the Costa Del Sol and Gran Canaria all offer fantastic options for single holidaymakers.
City Breaks
If you're a city break junkie, then try out Amsterdam or Barcelona for size. Been there before? Head to Pisa, Antalya city or Marrakech for something a little more unique for your escape.
