Getting There
Travelling by public transport to the airport is very easy, with Southampton Airport Parkway Station right outside the terminal building. Trains run through Parkway station (and Southampton Central station) from London Waterloo to Bournemouth and Weymouth. Local bus services from the surrounding area and Southampton city centre are also very frequent. If you need to get from the airport to one of the cruise terminals in the port, taxi can be the best way for this, as ships depart from different cruise terminals.
If you're travelling by car, the airport is located close to the junction between the M3 and M27 motorways. There are multiple parking options, including priority parking, many of which are within an easy 5-10 minute walk of the terminal building, including long stay and short stay parking.
In The Terminal
One of the main benefits of flying from Southampton is that it's a easy to navigate, compact airport. Within the main terminal building there are two shops after security, WHSmith and World Duty Free, while Costa Coffee, the Olive Cafe Bar and Olive Tree restaurant all provide options for food and drink before you board. The Spitfire Lounge is the airport lounge here but is only open at the weekends at certain times (it's generally closed after 2pm). Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the terminal building.
Airport Hotels
There is one airport hotel within walking distance (about a 10 minute walk via the path) from the terminal building which is the Premier Inn Southampton Airport. Other hotels in the Eastleigh area also provide great accommodation options like the Travelodge, Holiday Inn and Ellington Lodge at The Concorde.
