With year-round sunshine and good weather, Tenerife is a fab place for a holiday both in the summer and in the winter, with temperatures ranging from late teens to early 30s. During the winter months, it can get a bit cooler but fortunately, the pools here are heated. For something a little refereshing, why not head down to the beach and take a dip in the ocean?!

There are 9 different room types at the hotel. Interconnecting rooms are available on request, however this is no longer a family orientated hotel and is now an adults only hotel, so the Family Junior Suites are no longer available. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, mini bar, satellite TV and air conditioning.

Swimming Pools
There are two outdoor pools here. The main pool is large (700㎡) and is a heated pool which can be very important during the winter months. The second pool is only available to The Level guests. Pool towels are free and are available at both swimming pools. Bali beds can also be booked for the day for an additional charge.
Entertainment
The entertainment here is a mix of sports and activities during the day in the public areas, like spin or yoga classes. Evening entertainment is a mix of live music and shows which varies each night.
Gym & Fitness
There is a well equipped gym and fitness centre with a range of cardio equipment and free weights to ensure you stick to your health and fitness programme while on holiday. There are also a number of fitness classes like pilates and spin cycle on the outdoor terrace.
Although there isn't a spa here, there is a beauty salon with a range of treatments available to book in advance or when you arrive.
Events

There is one main buffet style restaurant and a separate a la carte restaurant which serves both Spanish and Italian food and is open during the peak summer months. Both have a dress code of no swimwear or beachwear, and men should wear long trousers.
Mosaico Restaurant
The Mosaico buffet restaurant is the main restaurant at the hotel and serves food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Casa Nostra
Casa Nosta is the hotel's à la carte Italian restaurant which is only open at certain times of the year, mainly during the busier summer months. The restaurant only serves dinner, which is between 7:30pm and 10pm, and reservations are required and can usually be booked at a supplement if you are booking an all inclusive holiday here.
La Palapa Snack Bar
La Palapa is the pool bar here. Conveniently located on the sundeck, this outlet serves drinks and a small snack menu throughout the day so you can enjoy your favourite beer or cocktail by the pool, or at your sunbed.

Open from 10:30am until midnight The Blue Lounge bar offers an extensive drinks menu with cocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks. With incredible, panoramic views out to the ocean, this is the place to enjoy a coffee by day and your favourite cocktail as the sun sets.
Things To Do
Being in Tenerife, there are loads of things to do near the hotel and across the island, from sampling Canarian dishes at a local restaurant, to trekking up Mount Teide to admire the stunning stars at night. FUN FACT: Tenerife is one of the best places in the world to go stargazing. Here are a few of our favourites:
Beach
The nearest beach is Playa del Duque beach and is just a five to 10 minute walk from the hotel. It's a soft golden sand beach with turquoise water. The nearby Playa El Beril is the infamous, volcanic black sand if you want to try out a typical Tenerife beach experience.
Siam Park
The Melia Jardines is about a 10 minute drive to the incredibly popular Siam Park waterpark. This is a fun day out, even for adults, with a range of exhilarating and more relaxing water rides and attractions, as well as the large wave pool. Tickets can either be bought in advance, or on the day. Booking in advance can save you time when you arrive so that you don't have to stand in queues.
Shopping
Costa Adeje is a popular area for shopping in Tenerife. With a mix of local shops and luxury stores, it's easy to spend a day wandering around the retail outlets here. Just down the road from the hotel is the Centro Comercial Plaza del Duque, a popular shopping centre with both clothes stores and supermarkets.
Local Bars & Restaurants
There are plenty of restaurants and bars near the hotel if you are on a bed & breakfast or half board basis. You can book into one of the restaurants in a nearby hotel like Nub Restaurante at the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque Resort, or you can head into Costa Adeje town to try out the huge range of restaurants on offer, from Asian cuisine to traditional burgers and chips.

Getting Here
The journey from Tenerife Sur airport to the Melia Jardines del Teide hotel is approx. 20km and takes around 20 minutes by car/taxi. If you're taking an airport transfer by coach, this can take a bit longer due to stopping at other hotels on the transfer. Free parking is available at the hotel but this is on a first come first serve basis.
