Holidays In The Balearic Islands
Our Guide To Holidays In The Balearic Islands In 2024/2025
From the incredible nightlife of Ibiza, to the stunning, secret beaches of Majorca, holidays to the Balearic Islands are varied to say the least. And what's more, you can bag yourself a bargain too. Holidays can be cheap if you shop around, go outside of school holidays and can be flexible with where you stay.
Ideal times to visit are late spring and early autumn when the weather is sunny and temperatures are very comfortable. Holidays in May, June and September can be much more affordable than the summer holidays too.

Holidays To Ibiza
Ibiza does have a reputation as one of the clubbing capitals of Europe with its big clubs and wild nightlife, but there's plenty more to the island too. Families love it here, particularly out of the main towns for its family friendly hotels and stunning beaches. Try areas like Cala Tarida or Cala Llonga for coastal resorts that are perfect for the annual holiday.
Holidays To Majorca
Majorca is a family favourite. Head out of its main city, Palma, and discover stunning coves, kid friendly resorts and some easy walking trails. But it's also an island to make the most of the nightlife, whether you want the clubs of Magaluf, or the restaurant and bars of Palma.
Palma itself is popular for its busy bars and restaurants and being just a couple of hours from the UK, makes for a great city break or short beach holiday. Try a hotel along the main waterfront around Son Armadams and El Terreno for its sea views, or if you really want to be in the heart of it all, head to areas like Santa Catalina and Placa Major.
Holidays To Menorca
Menorca, another popular island with families, is Majorca's little sister. Relatively frequent flights from the UK, great beaches and plenty of sunshine make this a holiday destination to consider. The towns of Ciutadella de Menorca and Mahon are its largest, while areas like Son Bou and Cala Morell offer beautiful, sandy beaches with that typical turquoise blue water we love on the Mediterranean.
Holidays To Formentera
Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands and is just a short boat trip from Ibiza. Accommodation here is incredibly limited but that means it's nowhere near as touristy as the likes of Ibiza and Majorca.
Here you'll find yet more of the Meds beautiful (and quieter) beaches. Formentera is an island to really relax and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. Why not hire a bike and explore some of those beaches, or head up north to grab a snap of Illetes beach?
