Hotels can vary in standard and location greatly. For example, if it's a beach holiday you're after, you don't want to end up at a hotel at Damac Hills (which may be much cheaper because of its location). Prices in Dubai are increasing, with alcohol prices being particularly expensive, so a half board or all inclusive option in Dubai may be worth taking a look at.
