About Villa Hermosa
Villa Hermosa is a favourite family holiday villa to the west of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. The three bedrooms provide ideal accommodation for a family escape in the Canary Islands, and the private pool is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine and cool down with a dip.
The master bedroom has a balcony and en-suite bathroom, while the two twin bedrooms also have plenty of space and light. The living has a good size, but it's the outdoor space that we all go to Spain for, right?! Sunbeds on the terrace, alfresco dining and an outdoor pool table all add to the enjoyment of a family friendly holiday.
Location
The area west of Playa Blanca is often still considered Playa Blanca but is a much quieter area. Made up of mainly holiday homes and villas, this part is also referred to as Montana Roja for its proximity to a volcanic crater. There are one or two restaurants in the area, but if you want lots more going on, you'll need to jump in the car or taxi and head into the main town of Playa Blanca.
Bedrooms
The three bedrooms at Villa Hermosa are all a really good size, making it perfect for a family of 5 or 6, especially with teenagers who want a bit of their own space. The master bedroom on the first floor enjoys both an ensuite bathroom, as well as a private balcony for even more space. Two of the bedrooms have air conditioning and the third has a fan.

The outdoor pool here is the big attraction, although it isn't heated so it can get a bit fresh in winter! Sunbeds for all with a south facing garden, plus outdoor dining area means you'll want to spend the whole time outside.
Only 2 of the bedrooms have air conditioning, but the third does have a fan. All are a great size and there are two bathrooms (one ensuite for the main double bedroom, and one shared).
Things To Do
The Coast
The immediate area around the villa is quite quiet and residential with 1 or 2 restaurants within a 10 minute walk, but the coastal pathway is one of the biggest attractions in the area. Along with the Faro de Punta Pechiguera lighthouse, the path runs all the way into Playa Blanca and beyond to Playa de las Coloradas.
Playa Blanca
Although advertised in Playa Blanca, the main part of town is a short drive away. Here you'll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to keep you busy, as well as Aqualava Water Park, the beaches of Playa Blanca and Playa Dorada. You'll also be able to book onto a number of boat tours and day trips from Marina Rubicon.

Villa holidays are often best when you hire a car. Either add it to your holiday package or book it before you arrive for the best rates. Having a hire car can mean you can explore more of the island, heading up into Timanfaya National Park for an incredible hike, or exploring some of Lanzarote's quieter sandy beaches.
Reviews
We like Villa Hermosa for its space, private pool and bedrooms that suit a family of 5 or six, especially for teenagers. The kitchen is a bit smaller than we like to see but it's still a good size. The pool isn't heated so it can be VERY refreshing in the winter months, while air coniditioning is only available in a couple of the rooms. But the bedrooms are a good size and there's plenty of space.
