Devon Valley Park Facilities
Swimming Pool
The heated, indoor swimming pool is a family favourite and is open everyday. The smaller paddling pool is perfect for infants but with no water slide, this park is better suited to younger children.
Children's Club
The ZigZag children's club is great for little ones to have fun, get creative and get rid of some holiday energy. It also means a quick break for parents. Each morning, the club is open, hosted by the DV Team Starz, with activities ranging from dance-offs to painting and is great chance for the kids to make new friends.
Outdoor Adventure Play
The Jolly Cosmos outdoor adventure play area is perfect for letting the kids burn off some energy and you can conveniently keep an eye on them from the restaurant terrace. The ship themed park has all sorts to keep the kids busy, from slides to mini climbing wall.
Arcade And Pool Room
In the evening (or on those rainy days when staying indoors is the main option) head down to the pool room and GamesZone arcade. Play air hockey, race cars or enter the weekly pool competition and see if you can win the grand prize. Get your two pence pieces at the ready.
Indoor Soft Play
Another perfect activity for when you need to spend some time indoors with the little ones is the indoor soft play area. It is for the under 5's and there is a height restriction for this area so it's another good one for infants but offers a ball pit, slide and foam shapes.
Devon Valley Entertainment
For entertainment at Devon Valley, once you've fed the family or enjoyed a meal at the Boathouse restaurant, be sure to head to the Breakers Club, the Village's entertainment venue. Here you can enjoy drinks and bar snacks while the Team Star hosts perform in cabarets, host quizzes, bingo games and much more. Of course there's always the opportunity to dance the night away!
Food And Drink
Restaurant and Bar
The Boathouse restaurant and bar is located on the riverbank with lovely views across the Teign. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Boathouse has extensive menus including a children's menu and takeaway menu too if you just want to spend an evening in. There is also a family room with darts and TV where our four legged friends can also join.
If you've paid extra for half board, your breakfast and dinners will be here at the Boathouse.
Fish And Chip Shop
If your family love fish and chip Fridays, fear not, the fish and chip shop in the village offers tasty takeaways with all the family favourites.
Convenience Store
Being self catering holidays, you may want to head to a supermarket before you arrive to stock up on all the essentials. For anything you forget, there is a small convenience store on-site where you can buy a range of food, drinks, snacks and souvenirs.
There is a small village store in Shaldon otherwise there is a large Sainsbury's just of the A380 in Newton Abbot or a Morrison's just outside of Teignmouth, depending on which way you are driving to the park.
Half Board Option
All caravan and chalet holidays are available on a self catering basis, but you're on holiday and you probably don't want to spend your time cooking for the family, so there is a half board option available at Devon Valley too.
Caravan And Chalet Types
Devon Valley has chalets and caravans depending on what you and the family fancy. Each has a Bronze, Silver and Gold option available depending on your budget and the facilities/extras you need as part of your holiday.
When booking directly with the park, entertainment passes, swimming pool access, bed linen and gas/electricity are all included, however, it's worth noting that when booking via Hoseasons, or the Sun Holiday Codes or Daily Mail Holiday Codes, these may not be included as part of your holiday and will be charged on arrival.
Not all caravan types are dog-friendly, so make sure to check this at the time of booking.
Bronze Caravans
The parks' two-bedroom, Bronze caravans like the Otter Bronze and the Shaldon Bronze Caravans are the lead in caravan type, starting from £129 per stay. These caravans can sleep up to 6 people in a double room, twin room and sofa bed configuration. Bronze caravans have a fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Silver Caravans
Silver grade caravans offer a little more space, ideal if there are six of you staying. These caravans have everything the bronze ones have but are either 10ft or 12ft wide (subject to availability).
Gold Caravans
Gold caravans at Devon Valley are a lovely upgrade for an extra special holiday. These caravans are double glazed, have an outdoor decking area and most offer lovely views of the river. They also feature an additional en-suite WC and central heating.
Gold Plus Caravans
Starting from £319 per holiday, Gold Plus caravans are the highest spec. Featuring everything the gold caravans have, these upgrades have modern interior design, allow you to check-in earlier at 3pm, plus your beds will be made up ready for your arrival.
Bronze Chalets
Bronze chalets are available as one or two bedroom properties and are the parks' no frills option, perfect for that budget break in Devon. Chalets feature fitted kitchens, however, electricity must be paid for on arrival.
Silver Chalets
Silver chalets are two bedrooms and can sleep up to six people. These chalets are a slight upgrade but the electricity meter card will still need to be purchased when you arrive.
Gold Chalets
Gold chalets are the best chalets on the park and have a higher standard of furnishings, double glazing and outdoor decking, perfect for enjoying those summer evening drinks. These chalets sleep from 2 to 11 people depending on which one you book.
