Flights to Barcelona, Spain - Our Guide
Barcelona is great for a city break, weekend break, summer holiday or even a stag or hen do, and with so many flights to Barcelona from the UK, it can be relatively cheap as well. Here is our guide to finding cheap flights to Barcelona.
Cheap Flights To Barcelona
Barcelona attracts more than 9 million tourists each year and with low cost airlines, regional departures from the UK and a flight time of as little as 2 hours, it's understandable why it has become such a popular city break destination. At certain times of the year and when booking in advance, flights to Barcelona can also be very cheap, meaning you can keep your next holiday under budget.
Barcelona flights start from less than £25 per person each way from London and if you can find a great budget hotel, you've got yourself an amazingly cheap getaway providing sightseeing and sunshine. In the summer, it's an ideal opportunity for a sun holiday, because we can't always guarantee the sun will be shining in the UK.
Barcelona Airport
Barcelona El Prat Airport is the city's main airport being just a 20 minute taxi ride or 35 minute Metro ride into Barcelona city centre. There are two other airports nearby that often promote themselves as Barcelona airports but they are a good 70-80 minute drive away. These airports are Reus to the south near Salou, and Girona to the north near Lloret de Mar.
It's quite easy to get from Barcelona El Prat to the city, either by bus, Metro or taxi. Airport transfers can also be booked in advance to take you to your hotel in Barcelona or the surrounding area. If you're staying outside the city, it may also be worth considering booking a hire car for your stay.
